I received a mail that Aruba was slowly opening.

You know that I have a timeshare in Aruba for over 20 years.
This year I wanted to save it for next year in an interchange I have, but Aruba was closed so they did not accept my week.
But today I received a mail saying that slowly they would open it. They live out of tourism so I imagine they cannot close the island for a long time.
And the exchange office accepted my week too.
I had paid my maintenance because I know that people must keep their jobs and they should keep the gardens and appartments on good shate anyway.
I know that I cannot go this year. But I do hope that next year I can travel.
That mail meant a bit of hope for me

@LadyDuck Me neither. But I could place my week this year for others to use.

@marguicha The borders to Italy have been opened here, but the Swiss have no intention to go vacationing to Italy this year. I would not put my foot on an airplane even if they would offer the ticked free.

The tourism industry is really one of the hardest hit industries during this pandemic.
Planning to travel as well once all of this is over but I'm keeping it local.

I like to have a couple of weeks in the sun during my winter. But I´ll see next year. Still Aruba is not open for Chilean people. I don´t blame them.

I hope by next year you will be able to go. I don't know anymore if our September trip will be possible to Florida.

I would not go this year anyway. I think it is too dangerous even if the frontiers were open

Tourism has suffered the most during the lockdown. So it's good news that they are opening up .
