I grew up by the bay known as the home of the Seventh Fleet. My mother worked in the Naval Supply Depot. On festive occasions, I was a child waiting for Pikniks and Pringles, apples and oranges. Once, I did get to eat a huge T-bone at the Officers Club. On R&R, the city streets were filled with Navy Men in white. That was like another lifetime. The US Naval Base bade good-bye in '92. My mother was offered a visa to the United States of America. Wow! That is why all my family is there. But I'm here, in my beloved land. And I get to witness the comeback of an ally. If only my mother is still alive, she'd ask for narratives. It's a different story now. The USA Armed Forces has come to join the Southeast Asian Nations in its stance against China. Joint forces activities are on going at Pag-asa Island. And Subic Bay has been reloaded.

I hope this is a good sign and they are not pushing to start a war against China.

One thing is clear about China - it never declared a war. China is an aggressor, and provokes. Thus the defense built-up at the bay. Why do you hope it's a good sign and and also hope 'are not pushing to start a war against China.' Contradictory. Armaments means equipping for war.

@eileenleyva Because the actual US President is aggressive, he places his pews to be ready to attack.

@LadyDuck Right now, the house is disintegrating. The generals and the commanders and the admirals would sure exercise caution in imminent danger. With you in hoping no war begins.

Subic Bay is strategic, in case of war with China. The fleets wouldn't have to go back to Hawaii. My archipelago would be compromised again. Hu hu
