And.....it’s Back!

Back to skating!
Apparently, her head coach wore a mask and the few skaters there did not. Each stayed in her own area. Her coach was amazed at how she almost has her double axel down. I guess the synthetic ice her parents invested in paid off.
My granddaughter told me that at synchronized skating practice, all the girls wore masks and gloves both days. The coach didn’t.
I’m not so sure there will be competitions this year, but at least she’s skating safely.

That synthetic ice kept her limber, for all those strenuous jumps and spins. She has kept in good shape, that's wonderful! I love pigs, too:)

@DianneN That was a wonderful invention, I'm glad your son purchased that for the kids. Both of them are very active, especially with ice hockey and figure skating. My son-in-law plays ice hockey, but he's not a professional. Some cops have formed a team, from what I've understood.

@kobesbuddy That's wonderful that your SIL plays hockey. Many men I know belong to teams for fun. Not my men though.
My granddaughter is point on her synchronized skating team. They wanted her back so badly, that this season is totally free except for costumes.

@DianneN It is lovely, I always had gifts concerning ducklings when I was young, my family also called me "ducky"
I remember that you wrote that the team offered her a scholarship, I am sure she really appreciated.
WOW, I would be scared from a glass booth, but it's exciting.

Isn't it adorable? I had no idea she was so into pigs.
I think he should wear a mask, too..
I forget to mention that the synchronized team is free this year for my granddaughter. They wanted her to return so badly that they offered her a scholarship. She is also point - head skater!
I just texted my DIL. She told me the synchronized skating coach coaches from a glass booth over the intercom. Whew!

Ooh my grand kids would love a cake like that., Peppa pig is such a hit here. Well done that girl I hope that she will soon be able to skate normally. I Saw the clip of her on the ice the other day she is so good! I bought a gift for devil child too do you think she will like it? A peppa pig puzzle from the fresh food section of the supermarket.

That cake is meant for Peppa Pig lovers!!! I can't believe that Peppa Pig puzzle!. Oh, yes, my granddaughter would love that, too!
Many thanks! I appreciate you taking the time to watch her skate. I had to sneak the video in so her parents and other grandmother wouldn't see it.

Love that piggie cake ! Our rinks have opened recently too. Some of my friends went right away, others are waiting a few weeks to see how the #s go . Wow, does the Ice Princess have her triple salchow already (just asking . . . some get that before getting their double axel consistent)? Being back on the ice must feel so amazing. Please oh please I hope everyone is keeping safe.

@DianneN I saw that a lot of competitions were cancelled, but well, we know why. I know you guys are keeping safe . . . I just worry about everyone else in the public who don't always "think" - that's what scares me. I am growing out my hair too . . . although I loved my short cut. But now I keep it in a ponytail - and that actually holds up the face masks better (I prefer the tie ones).

I love that cake, too!
The Ice Princess began last week. There are no competitions on the books, and I don't foresee any occurring this year.
I honestly don't know if she can do a triple salchow, but thanks to you, I will ask her.
Oh, yes! We are all still keeping safe. No covidiots in our family. And no way will I get my hair trimmed! It looks good enough and hubs and my son like it.

@much2say Yes, so far no competitions are scheduled in the Northeast. The rinks she goes to (two of them) are being extremely cautious and making parents remain in their cars if they want to stay. My DIL said that all the parents she has seen wear masks. I guess parents of skaters are brighter than the rest of the public when it comes to safety and thinking of others. lol
We are still beautiful with our longer hair. It's what counts on the inside, too. Beauty and brains!

@DianneN Yes it will be risky and though they not allow outside people but child's parents will definitely come to see. Too much crowd is very risky.

@birjudanak Exactly! Right now, they won't let the parents in to watch practices. My daughter-in- law had to wait in her car.

She doesn't have to wear on for her regular figure skating, because it would be grueling trying to breathe with the practice.
She does have to wear a mask with the synchronized skating, because the skaters have to keep their arms around each other's shoulders. I found out from my DIL that the coach coaches from a glass box using the intercom.
She's young and healthy, so mask wearing doesn't bother her.

@LowRiderX Nothing is planned. Nothing safe, anyway. If competitions open, she will be going to Las Vegas first before Serbia. Unfortunately, there are many states increasing in numbers of cases due to our stupid President and many of his idiot followers, none of whom wear masks or do social distancing.
I'm proud to say that NY and my state have the least number of cases, but the virus is still out there. We are not taking any chances.

I love the nose on the cake. Oink!
Oh, she is thrilled being back on the ice and loves seeing her friends again. She is a social butterfly.
The good news is that the synchronized team is free for her this year and they made her point - team leader and first to come out on the ice.
