I had some fun yesterday evening!

My music friend Mel invited me to play in a "jam" he's been hosting in his driveway for several weeks.. Neighbors show up, bring their lawn chairs, and listen in. I brought my bass and my Collings guitar, along with my amplifier. I played mostly bass, and some guitar. He brought his Taylor guitar, a microphone, and his amplifier.he handled most of the singing, and gave me some bass and guitar leads. It was a really good time! We hadn't played together in years, but we managed to make some pretty nice music, and the neighbors enjoyed it. Our social distancing wasn't perfect, but it was pretty good. No handshakes, just forearm bumps, etc. etc. How is your day shaping up?

We were just about ready to get the band together and then we got hit with a pandemic. So there has been no jamming over here. The only one I jam with is myself and I have a great time doing that. It's funny that you mentioned lawn chairs and listening in. Some time ago in my practice room while I was rehearsing for a show, the neighborhood kids all came to my front yard to hang out and listen to my playing. It was like a minnie Woodstock.
