Fellow Summer haters take heart...the days are getting shorter

When I was young and lived in a cooler climate, I loved summer so much. Not only since I was out of school but also the weather was beautiful. Now that I am in a warmer area, I hate it as much as I loved it when I was younger. I am always anxiously looking for signs of the fall, (my favorite season) Well, we are past the summer solstice and the days are getting shorter...so even though we haven't hit July yet or the peak heat of the season, we are indeed on our way to the fall!!! and all I can say is Yay!

I really can't lay out much now, because there are too many bugs. I have a outdoor screen room, but I need a gazebo to go along with it.

@simone10 Well it will be once I get the canopy for it. I think I will order one when I get back. Of course now, almost half the summmer is gone lol...although we will have plenty of warm weather here through the fall.

Our weather has been bearable, except for a few wickedly hot and humid days. We usually stay inside with the AC running until the sun goes to the west and the yard has some shade.
Summer, even with it's humid days, is still my favorite season. I love going outside, walking barefoot in the grass (until I step on a stone!), sitting in my lazy chair and gazing at the clouds as they drift by. Listening to the rain hit the roof and the smell of the air after it ends is delightful.

So far this summer hasn't been as bad as most..but it is really just getting underway. We will have to see what happens in July.

I will be so happy to see the cooler temps.
I'm of the mind that our region will have more snow this year.

Believe me, I know what you mean. For me it,s the humidity. I can take the heat as long as it is not humid.

The only good things about it are picnics, swimming, amusement parks and baseball games..but this year,Thanks to the virus only a couple are available.

Summer is nice up North or at least it used to be. Maybe not quite as much with global warming.
