Saturday morning....can't stay in bed..

Good morning from this side of planet. It's 7:16 AM and I just got up a few minutes back. It's a beautiful morning and sun is up after a whole night of drizzling.
We watched the latest Bad boys for life last night followed by two shows on Amazon. We retired to bed at 1:30 last night. I wanted to sleep till I could as it's a weekend. Everyone in house is sleeping but I could not stay in bed after 7. So here I am sitting in my balcony and enjoying Nature and writing this post.
I can catch for my sleep later by a afternoon nap. But glad that I am awake now.
I like this peace in house and I can have some "me" time here before the day starts.
I thought of skipping my exercise today. But the quiet house is just perfect for some breathing exercises ( pranayam) and meditation. So I will do that before I head for morning chores and preparing breakfast.
I have put on some chanting on low volume and that's creating positive vibes.
.
Catch you later.
Have a great weekend
What's everyone here planning for their weekend??

It's really tough waking up early after watching a late night movie. But you seem to manage it really well.

Yes. But my biological clock does not allow me to be in bed too long. Generally on weekdays I wake up at 5:30. On weekends I am not able to stretch it beyond 7:30. I am a morning person.

It is peak summer here and most part of India especially the northern sates are having unbearable heat and humidity. Bangalore having a unique geographical location experiences a pleasant weather throughout. We never get extremes of temperatures.

Good Morning. I hope the rest of your Saturday went well. I like being the only one awake in the house sometimes as well. I used to listen to Gregorian Chants and found them to be very soothing.

@arunima25 Yes, I understand that. We have to allow ourselves to wake up fully so that we can think clearly about our day.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I agree. Once we have sorted things in our mind, day seems to go more smooth and organized.

This time that I get in morning by myself helps me a lot to sort and organize things for the day in my mind. Yes chants in the morning can be really soothing.

Due to pandemic we are limited to indoors and so no special plan for weekend. I do my yoga especially pranayam daily and hardly miss it.

@SHOHANA Yes. They are breathing exercises but much more than just exhale and inhale. I practise around 10 different types of pranayam. I devote 45 minutes only on that.

@just4him Now on wards I plan to keep my weekends slow and relaxed. Since I am working from home, I can keep my weekdays packed and even finish the household chores on a weekday that I would otherwise would have left for weekend.

It is good to keep weekends lazy to relax out body and mind. What are the other writing sites that you work for? Please share if you feel okay about sharing it.

Hope rain comes there soon. Here all teachers meetings are also carried on in online meetings. The government has strictly asked for schools to be closed till July 31st. Here numbers have spiked and we have another lockdown with restrictions.

@anil02 Looking at the way the numbers are increasing, I do not think schools will open anytime in 2020. We are not facing any issues due to new restrictions. We were not out as such. I am getting all essentials home delivered. We are in containment zone since last three months.

I love waking up early. I flew out the door for my morning walk, and when I returned, my husband wanted to play tennis.
I don't do housework on weekends other than tidy up and clean the bathrooms we use.
All I have planned is reading today.
Enjoy your days off from work this weekend!

@DianneN Yes. Since I work from home now, I can do that. Do the chores that I generally did on weekends a little on each weekday and keep weekends totally free to enjoy.

We have a ritual of watching late night movie on Friday. That's sort of way to spend time together as a couple and occasionally as family. Mylotting with cooking....wow! That's great

I never skip my exercise unless it is a real emergency though at times I decide to due to mood. But then I push myself and feel good about doing so later.
