Do YOU always TRUST people? / myLot

Back in the old days, I have so many friends. I thought they were real friends. As the years went by, they had changed. There are so many reasons why people changed. I must admit that I had changed, too. The bottom line I started to be picky in making friends now. The only friends that I got are my immediate family. Can you trust anybody? I can also claim that I try my best to read people's minds. It is the best way to secure ourselves from these people who can do evil deeds to us.

They say 'trust nobody but yourself'.which ofcourse is true. I have trusted many friends before but was betrayed in the end so I only surround myself with few trusted friends.

I totally agree with you. I used to have friends who betrayed me. Now, they are not connected to me in anymore.

The first question I ask myself before trusting someone is: what would this person gain from me? Most of the time, there's nothing anyone could gain from me anyway. And if they did, I expect them to betray me and wait until they do. Most don't so I guess I'm a bit lucky. And for me, my friends will always be my friends even if they end up hurting me.

I do have some friends who backstabbed me. They are not in my life now. I must admit that it is difficult to find real friends nowadays.
