I read this story about this girl who “died” this week. The story starts by saying this 16 year old girl died this week. What happened is she committed suicide this week. Very sad.
It says how she was a “Tik Tok star”, there was not a lot of detail to the story but here is my take on it. I’m guessing she got a lot of hate from people that use this app and the pressure got to her and she decided to take her life. First let me say that I think it is very sad that someone this young, would take their life over other people’s opinions about them. At 16 to think your life is not worth something because others tell you so. I feel sorry for her, her family and other loved ones to go through something like this.
That is why I think social media is not for kids. People out there can be so mean and kids are not equipped to deal with this kind of thing, hell some adults are not equipped to deal with this. If you allow your kids to be on social media, I hope that you keep a close eye on them and what they are doing. Be the noise parent, they might not like it, but it just might save their lives.

@Bensen32 I always think that parents let their children too loose now. I just answered a post about a 2 year old that was saved from drowning on mud. Now I ask, where were the parents?
