My Monday Update

A lot of us seem to be doing " catch up" this morning.
I am putting my outdoor chores first, in case it rains.
Halfway done mowing the front. Slow soaker hose on plants and gardens. My tomatoes are very thirsty. I mowed the small part next to neighbors because he mowed and that makes mine look shabby.
Hubby took the little car and headed to McPherson. The car needs a run and he needs more books.
It looks like rain, or it could be Sahara dust. Probably both.
Tomorrow is an appointment in Wichita so I want to get stuff done today.
Just another Monday morning.

Oh the back has not been well groomed in the last year. No one can see it though.

@GardenGerty Out of sight, out of mind.
It's funny how, with some things, we really care about what other people think.

I think he actually brings in the large city mower and gets it done quickly. I have mowed almost everything within the last week, time to start over. If we do not get rain I do not have to mow near so often.

@GardenGerty That's the good thing about no rain. The bad is the grass looks terrible.

I feel for you.
My car only gets driven once a week when I go to the grocery store now that I am working from home. Today I might run out to do an errand, just to start it up and get it moving, I'm afraid of it not wanting to start when I really do need it.

We do not go to the store that often and we have three vehicles to keep running. It is smart to get your car moving if only for a drive.

I guess the Sahara dust happens every year but this year it is really bad.

Yes, it does. I have to do it when it is daylight if it is outside work. I can myLot when it gets dark, or before the sun rises.

They have been predicting thunderstorms for weeks and we have not seen even a full inch of rain.

Last evening it looked foggy here, we thought it must be the Saharan dust. It sounds like you are having a productive Monday. We also have that problem with the neighbors, except it's usually our grass that looks like it needs mowed even if it was just mowed last week.(We mow every two weeks)

I think it has been two weeks since that section was mowed. Even longer since the center front was mowed. My neighbor to the east works for the city and I think he keeps his front mowed with the large city equipment. So I mowed the east front section, the center front as well and some of the east driveway area. I watered everything and also divided the split leaf philodendron into three pots.

Monday, Monday, can’t trust that day.
I’d like to go to Kansas this year, with a goal of Coffeyville (I’m interested in Dalton Gang/Wild Bunch history). Maybe I can hitch a ride on the Sahara dust.

Maybe you can. If you find yourself planning that and it is still summer, let us know, we can have a meet up. Seriously. Elic Bxn, who used to be active here came to Dodge City and we met her and her friend and played tourist. We like stuff like that.

There are some reasons that we have laundry two or three times a week, and I cannot get hubs convinced to have chore schedules. I could deal with Monday laundry.

After getting the big logs out that I had I got to mow more in that area. Isn't it fun? I do not mind mowing, but I hate sweating.
