I buy my Sophie something called a cat kit. It is a box that you open up and put on the floor. One side she can lay on and other she loves to scratch. I once bought her one of those I call houses that have 2 floors and no windows and she climbs on it and lays there and the legs are scratchers. She did not like it at all. It took up room so had to sell it. She does not always like the gifts I get for her.

Maybe next time you buy what you think Sophie will like. I mean it is not what you like but what she would like. My wife used to buy expensive toys but our dogs prefer the cheap ones that emit a sound when the dog bites it.

Thanks Alex and now I know what scratcher she likes and she likes very simple toys that light up.

Thanks Alex. It is not a toy. It is a means to how she scratches.

A cat scratch post is a great idea. Cats scratch to signal it's their territory, so having a cat scratch kit enables them to do their thing without ruining your furniture. Cats also scratch to maintain their nails. Kind of like going to a nail salon

Wow that cat is very choosy, the scratcher must have been expensive.

I would not call her choosy. I would just say she did not like it. I sold it to someone that liked it. It was expensive, but, if she does not like something then I have to rethink what not to get her.

Sophie is not picky. She just wants my attention and does not understand that I have to work on the computer to make us some money so we can eat and I can buy things for the both of us.

Thats a good equipment for them but sorry that she don't like it as maybe not comfortable but sure it helpful to others who tried with their cats. Look like your cat looking something else.

She loves the one that sits on the floor. She just loves to stretch other places as well. The one I sold she did not like. I have no idea why. She loves to climb inside so that is why I got it.

Cats can be very picky but I have to admit that my dog Roscoe does like some toys more than others.

Belle, that could be with all animals. Some toys they like and others not.

I am sorry Sophie is not available to demonstrate her scratcher for you. I have a picture just of her scratcher.

I feel you need to take your cat Sophie along while you buy play things for her. I think cats love to play with things that move or swing . You can check out YouTube videos on cat toys and then decide what to buy.

Thanks Jay. I cannot take her with me. She would have to ride in a carrier and do not want to do that to her. I know what she likes now and will only buy simple things she likes.
