How is Covid in your state or country?

Things are going OK in this state, there was some increase over the weekend, but we should still be able to start Phase 3 on Wednesday, barring an unforeseen huge increase. I was just talking to someone this morning about it, and he was pointing out that even if it gets under control in some areas, some of the people might go into other areas states, or countries and spread it, which leads to more cases in the areas that may have previously been controlled. He is absolutely right. I wonder if more states and countries will put up boundaries to keep others from coming in?

We have here in CT and right now we are still going down and people are for the most part taking it very seriously.

Yes, the rate of new infections here has slowed quite a bit, but I did notice that there were some new cases over the weekend. I was gratified yesterday to see all the patrons in the tire shop had masks on...except for the staff..stupid staff,,,although they did have distancing measures in place.

@snowy22315 I had the same problem in Florida at the car dealer, the staff wasn't wearing masks which I thought showed a lack of care for the clients.

We lead the nation with Rhode Island as having the least number of new cases and the count continues to go down.

Yay! That is awesome. I guess you made the right decision to leave Florida when you did.

There has been some increase in areas towards the east of NC. I think parts are holding steady and others not so much. I think Phase 3 has been put off another two weeks if I remember correctly. I feel like we should stay within our own states and within our own country. No outside travel coming in or out.

@snowy22315 Right, I know shipments of goods and services still need to happen. I am really referring more to business meetings and things like that. Things that can and should be done via zoom or skype.

Swiss borders have been closed during 9 weeks, but now we are back to "almost" normal life. We have guidelines, we have to wear a mask inside the stores or on public transport, social distancing, even in restaurants, but things are good now. No new deaths from many days here and only very few new cases. Now the borders are open... the tourists are coming, the numbers will increase for sure.

@LadyDuck Oh wow...seems hard to believe he could infect so many people, unless he was spraying his germs around everywhere. When I go away tomorrow I am taking hand sanitizer in my purse, in case I have to go into a public restroom somewhere. However, I think people are the real problem..sharing space with them.

@snowy22315 I am not optimist, yesterday a man has been found positive after joining a meeting, now 300 people are quarantined. Let's hope they do not go around.

It has started to spread in my location. Seems the lockdown will be extended for another 2 months.

Only 3 deaths in Scotland over the weekend. Our lockdown is working. I think here in the UK we make incomers from certain countries self isolate for 14 days after they arrive

@snowy22315 Scotland has had no deaths for 4 or 5 days. But non essential shops are now open and other restrictions have been eased a bit. Its a matter of time methinks and it will rear its ugly head again

@snowy22315 I would love to be wrong. Bit so many places not in lockdown anymore are reporting increases. No reason why we should be different

Until we have a vaccine I feel like everyone just operates with their fingers crossed. We have new cases, but no new deaths.

It was a great success for my country to curb the covid virus from spreading as fast as it came thus avoiding losing more life. The two months lock down has been lifted but still we have rules to follow when patronizing restaurants or public places.

Yes, most public spaces are open as of today, but restaurant bar areas are staying closed, and most places are not at full capacity.

Covid is amazing in Kentucky! We had thousands protesting and rioting and not a one of them got sick; however, a few people went to Myrtle Beach and caused a statewide uptick in cases! (That’s sarcasm)

It seems it's impossible to stop new cases if people are still moving about. WA has cut itself off from the rest of Australia but that can't last forever and now NSW is having more and more new cases each day. Some suburbs in Melbourne are in lockdown.

Some places in the US are rising and other areas not so much. Mine is in Virginia and it goes up and down. As more things open back up more people get sick. Right now we had a ride in teens getting sick since more of then our out and hanging out and going places.
