The breeze was awesome. It really helped deflate the heat and humidity close to the bay.
I think they just opened today. It's looking a bit wild as the mowing has only just begun. They trimmed around the picnic tables and benches, but have a lot to do to get it looking trim and manicured again.
As wild as it looks, it's beautiful. It has a charm about it. There's some beach erosion going on and they have a fence up to keep people from getting hurt.
I hoped to get pictures of birds and got a few including a pelican. I have a picture of him by his lonesome. You can see the longer beak. I also caught several of them in flight. There were also a lot of seagulls and a flotilla of geese.
I needed to wait until I got home to look at the pictures and see if I captured them as it was so bright, I could only aim at what I taking a picture of. They all turned out well.
This is not a lake but a bay. The Bay of Green Bay feeds into Lake Michigan. It's not uncommon to see large coal or cargo ships on the bay. I'd have to look. I think I have a picture of a ship on the bay. I know I watched it until it disappeared from sight. I think it was a couple of years ago.
I hope you enjoy the pictures. Have you been in nature recently? Thanks for reading. The pictures belong to me.
