A weekend away

Last weekend my husband and I drove to Charleston, SC to see our daughter and her family for a couple of days. Her oldest son was there from Maine along with his five year old daughter Alice who lives with her mom in NC. It was great seeing them....we stayed there and didn't do any shopping like we usually do because of the virus. I wanted to go to Costco since we don't have one here, but their area is a Covid hot spot so we didn't want to risk it. Little Alice is a mess, such a little diva. She decided she wants to be called Taco. She and the boys had fun outside on the slip and slide..it was in the 90s there. Our daughter finally got an appointment to the Mayo Clinic at their Florida campus next month. Sure am praying they can help her. Talk to y'all later. For those of you in the US, happy Independence Day!

@1creekgirl Vicki? Do you feel better now? I hope your headaches are only a memory.

@LadyDuck I've actually gone two days in a row without a headache, so I'm really thankful for that. Still trying to find out why I get UTI's so often and having some issues with IBS. But it could be worse, LOL.

I used to love to shop, now even if a store is open, you can't try anything on!

So you have no travel restrictions there? We were told only essential travel was allowed but restrictions are easing up now.

@1creekgirl Exactly - our restrictions were impossible to enforce too. Most people abided by them though as it was only sensible.

We don't have travel restrictions, but a few states are trying to turn visitors away if they've been to certain "hot spots", although that's almost impossible to enforce.
