It is raining. It is raining like it hasn´t rained for several years of drought. Good for the crops in the country. Bad for us in the city. Our city is not prepared for such rains, We have turned the paths nature had to absorb the water that came from the mountains to concrete streets. The rain turns into small and medium rivers and in some places it goes into the houses and wets the furniture with muddy waters. Yesterday, the Health Authorities discovered that there were rests of COVID-19 in some of the waters of these small rivers. The virus is everywhere. The city is not getting cleaner with the rain but the virus is spreading with it. And meanwhile, the cold and the rain and the poverty and the hunger get worse. Some people don´t have a place to live, specially immigrants who lived in overcrowed quarters to be able to send money to their families in their own countries. Some could return. Maybe to another bad situation. We must not get our shoes wet. They might also have the wicked virus.
