Returning to visit the gym and apartment thoughts

Since mid-March, my gym have been closed until it opened at 25% last month. Two weeks ago, the land fitness schedule have been posted which limited activities. The only thing I could do this summer is Pilates on Monday afternoons. I planned to go back yesterday afternoon, but it was way too hot to go back. It'll be the same next week too. So maybe in mid-July to late August, I'll go back and see if anything might have changed since then. As for yoga, both yoga classes have been off the schedule this summer. Maybe in the fall? Yesterday, the water fitness schedule have been posted for phase three. My Monday water aerobics class is back, but only with a new instructor--our usual substitute --for the 8 AM class. No 9 AM class. But for Wednesday, my regular instructor will teach only the 9 AM and not the 8 AM class. Since I didn't go yesterday morning, I'm planning to go to the 9 AM class (after I clean the kitchen) and wear a face mask and say hi to my friends. I've spoken to my friend Cheryl yesterday afternoon and on Friday afternoon--she's not going to class this summer. But I told her I'll let her know what happened in class when I return. Since the sauna's closed, I'll do the spa after class and zip to the locker rooms. It'll be nice to see my friends again and see how my gym changed due to the pandemic. I plan to go on Monday's class too and compare notes before I decide if I go to one or both or none at all this summer. There's no Friday class either. I'll do a gym report next Monday afternoon. Remember I've told you that my neighbor informed me about my upstairs neighbors moved? Well, I must've gotten my wires crossed. Though I still hear them upstairs in the day (though it's been quiet at the night), the label have been removed from their mailbox. When I spoken to my neighbor on Sunday morning while I waited for my brother to pick me up, she shrugged and asked me who said that. I said you did on Thursday. She said she didn't know, though now I don't know who's moving or have moved. I need more clarification from her if I see her tomorrow morning when I'm back from the gym. Until then, I'm just going to ride it out and stay quiet, waiting and hoping they move out or get evicted by fall. So much for wishful thinking when I've gotten the hopes up... As for that dream apartment I wanted to move to, if my eviction wasn't overturned two weeks ago, I've checked the website out of curiosity. There's an availability for that 1-bedroom apartment. So I'll keep it in mind for next year, when if my rent goes up again and is close to $800 or over it next summer, I'll move out and not sign the lease due to affordability. (Starting in September, it'll be $770/month and have went up $37.) It's out of my budget range. So this might be the last year I might be able to stay here. I rather move out because of a high pay increase and/or annual noise from exterior construction from my apartment than to move out due to an eviction. Those are my apartment thoughts. Sorry so long for me to vent it out in this post.

I hope you don't get evicted and those noisy upstairs neighbors will move eventually.

@KristenH I hope it stays that way, I can't stand it when someone makes too much noise.

Thanks Maria. So far they've been quiet for 7 weeks at the night. One can hope...

@gr8nana6 Me too. Agreed. And if it's past midnight, it's even worse after-hours.

It would be awful to be evicted and have nowhere to go to.

Yeah it would be awful. I'm glad I got a final chance to stay here for at least one more year.

I hope things stay quiet there. Noisy neighbors can be frustrating. Maybe you can move next year.

Me too. I hear them open and close drawers or doors. So I know they're around. So true. Maybe so. Time for a change. I rather with loud trains than noisy neighbor and/or construction.

That's a good idea. It might be a long while before things are back to normal at my gym.
