Grilled Cheese for Brunch

Skipped breakfast. Have been busy with the bird nursery as Marlina called it earlier.
The birds are keeping me busy in the front and back gardens.
Took a break from the crazy heat and humidity. Realized it is 1:pm and nothing to eat yet. So I fixed a quick grilled cheese. That is always good for a fast meal.
Not sure about dinner yet. On these hot days meals are light. Appetite is zapped by the heat.
Does that happen to you? Take care and stay safe everyone.

I love grilled cheese sandwiches! It's been a long time since I've last had one.
I know exactly what you mean about the heat zapping your appetite. I always eat less during the summer than I do at any other time of the year.

My doctor commented about this yesterday, how people lose their appetite whenever it gets too hot! Grilled cheese is one of my favorite sandwiches, all year long!

@CarolDM Some people talk about dealing with big appetite. I don't have a big appetite, ever.

I eat the same year 'round. I have to have easy meals that the hubs can whip together quickly.

I usually like quick simple meals. I too love grilled cheese sandwiches. Not only are they quick to prepare, but they are nutritious. I like to put cream cheese with a couple thinly sliced apple pieces on a bagel. From time to time, I'll sprinkle some cinnamon on them.

Your right about a reduced appetite on those hot days. Sometimes a sandwich or salad is all I need.

That does not happen to me at all! However, grilled cheese sounds delicious!

For me breakfast is very important. no matter how busy I work, I will still take the time to have breakfast. it's very useful for maintaining physical endurance and improving my performance. I would at least have breakfast with a piece of bread and a glass of hot tea.

I tend to eat lighter foods when it is hot out. I eat more cold foods..like salads and so forth. Grilled cheese is always good.

Oooh I would love a grilled cheese. We are waiting for the next rainy day since a grilled cheese and soup are just the best on rainy days.
And yes...heat destroys the appetite, especially when it is like 107 in the house haha
