My yummy breakfast.....

I am done with my yoga. And even my yummy and healthy breakfast is ready. Today I made sago or sabudana khichdi. I have attached the picture here. Sago/ sabudana is a starchy extract from various palm trees. It's healthy and yummy. We use it also for sweets. This dish is salty and spicy one. We love it with loads of peanuts and boiled potatoes.. My family is relishing it now. I will just go for my shower. I am sweating after all work and exercise. I will have my breakfast later after my shower and a brief prayer to God. Catch you later!

@Teekaaa It is not like our regular khichdi. No daal is used here. You can check the recipe and try. You might like it. It's quite popular fasting dish for Navratri. Find the recipe online.

This is Marathi dish but I think it is quite popular across India for breakfast/snacks item. It's healthy too. Some call it khichdi while many call it as sago upma. I love sago paysam.

And it tasted yummy. Tapioca pearls is widely used for delicious puddings and some sweet dishes. But I like this salty spicy dish more than the sweet ones.

Our kids too enjoy this Khichdi very much. My wife also once did a recipe video on this (also known as Tapoica) but that was about fried balls(Vade) of this. Well, it goes well with ketchup as well as chutney.

@JudyEv Our tastes change as we grow. As a child I loved the pudding more than the salty and spicy preparations. But now I prefer this dish over pudding. My husband still craves for sabudana pudding. We call it payasam/kheer.
