Had a bad night last night

I don't know what I ate but I had an upset stomach yesterday and that along with the heat/stuffiness in the bedroom is what gave me a terrible night. I could not fall asleep. I'd dose off and then wake up and it was like that all night. Every time I'd wake up I'd go pee and then drink some water. I did that at least four times.
And hubby having insomnia and watching TV until five in the morning did not make things easier. I asked him a few times to go to bed but he would not do it. When he finally got into bed he instantly started snoring. I still couldn't fall asleep and was laying there staring at the ceiling. I am not sure when I finally fell asleep.
I woke up around 8:30 am, as that's when my alarm rang, but did not get out of bed until close to 10 am. I did not feel refreshed or energized. Hubby did not get out of bed till close to noon. We started making breakfast close to 1 pm because of that. The day is halfway over and nothing has been done yet. So much for an interesting day with hubby on his day off.
Nothing new there though. It's always late wake up for him and we never go anywhere or do anything.
Maybe if things were planned ahead of time he'd actually wake up earlier and the day would go differently. Would sure love for that to be the case.

i hope your stomach is better now. why don't you tell your husband that you'd like things to change a bit? maybe that would make you both happier...

My stomach feels better. Communication is a bit of an issue for me.
I am hesitant to suggest something but he doesn't suggest anything either. Makes me think like he doesn't wanna do anything. But things do need to change. Can't spend the entire life at home. And in his case, work and home. Gotta get out into the world and for more than just grocery shopping or an occasional gathering at someone's house.

@aureategloom That is true, expect I can't open my mouth to tell him how I feel or what I wanna do, or what bothers me, etc. Maybe I fear his reaction...

@lovebuglena i don't know about the situation in your house, but i think that your life partner should be the person that you can share everything with - including your thoughts, what bothers you and what you want. i'm sure it's better to do that, than to keep things for yourself and be unsatisfied.

Myself, I like to get some sleep around 10:00P. Last night, I was restless also and kept waking up. This isn't a regular thing, for me. I feel awful, without enough sound rest!

I usually sleep well but do not go to sleep early because hubby is a night owl and I stay up with him. I am not sure how he can function with little sleep.

@kobesbuddy Hubby is a car salesman so his ours are crazy. He works way more than 40 hours a week. Sleep is important but can't get him to go to bed early. It is very rare he goes to sleep before midnight. I don't know how he functions when he gets very little sleep.

It wasn't enjoyable. Nothing fun or interesting happened. We just drove over to my parents' to water their plants (they were away and asked us to do that), then went to the grocery store and back home. That was the day. But we did get filet mignon for dinner so that was good.

@LindaOHio It was. And we made mushroom risotto from a box. It had a spice packet and a rice packet. Turned out pretty good.

I am happy to spend time with him regardless of what we do but I don't want to spend every day together doing nothing but staying home and watching TV or him sitting in his car and me being online.

Thank you. And hopefully hubby will go to sleep much earlier than he did last night. I'd think the fact that he has work tomorrow would make him go to bed at a more or less decent time, though I am sure it won't be before midnight; however, even if he has work the next day he can still stay up super late.

I would not sleep with an upset stomach for it may give me a nightmare. What I do in those cases is to stay awake.

The good thing was I did not have to go #2 during the night. I was partly worried about that happening though... What if I wouldn't be able to make it to the bathroom in time was on my mind.
Maybe that is one of the reasons I couldn't fall asleep. But mainly I was upset that he was not gong to bed and that he was downstairs watching TV, which I could hear in the bedroom.

It's hard to get motivated sometimes. I'm sorry your day was so 'wasted'.

I did some studies on prolific and mylotted a bit and then late afternoon we went to water my mom's plants. Afterwards, we went to the grocery store for a little shopping. We bought filet mignon and fried that up for dinner, along with mushroom risotto for the side. The risotto comes in a box with the rice, a spice packet, and cooking instructions. Tastes pretty good. Now hubby went to sit in his car (as usual) and I hopped onto mylot. That was my day. Nothing to rave about.
