The effect of no internet access on laptop!

I was having a grand time responding and commenting on discussions of some mylotters this morning up to noontime when suddenly, we had a 45-minute power interruption. I took my white chair and had a quick nap at the basement since it is cool there.
When the power came back, I immediately switched on the laptop with the wish to resume my mylotting time. Surprised though, because there was no internet access in this laptop that I am using. I tried all means to reconnect, troubleshoot, remove the plug and put it back, etc.
I thought I might not be able to finish my notifications if this continues.
Finally, I asked my son to switch off the modem for the internet, and switch it on again after 10 minutes.
It worked. Now, I have the net. I was also surprised to see I have 165 notifications.
How will I finish these all? We are about to have our dinner, and I have to prepare the dogs' food. I guess I have to be early tomorrow to start interacting here so I could zero out my notifications.

that might be my daily dilemma which i should watch out for, because i just want to be more interactive here now. finishing the 195 notifications now may be difficult for me to finish within this day

With my online job, I have several WiFi devices so that when one stops working, I switch to another...
I have my PLDT Home prepaid WiFi, Globe at Home prepaid WiFi, Globe pocket WiFi, and my phones can also act as a hotspot.. Hihihihi It's like I'm gonna die without internet connection.. Hihihihi

hija, if you have many wifi devices, then it only shows you are so active with your online work. maybe 2 or 3 online jobs is good, right?

@brokenbee i tried freelancer before. did you try it?
i was scammed there. i had one work and that was editing a case study. i was so excited doing it that i did not mind not being paid half of the job.
when the person said she will pay it in full once it is finished, i completed it, but after that, the account was already deactivated.
my son blamed me for my carelessness.

Speaking of no internet. I have an intermittent connection. I am currently working. I have not accomplished 1 task for almost 2 hours now since I started my shift.

intermittently, we have power outages but they come in several minutes to less than an hour. unless scheduled, it is fine with me.

switching modem off and then on is the first thing i do when my internet is bad. i'm glad you have it back. enjoy clearing your notifications
