At what age did you get your first mobile phone?

I remember when I was still in college, mobile phones were not so common. Only the well-to-do kids could afford such. The first phone was a thick one with a long antenna. I think only two in our class owned such. I was not interested in the phones then. We had a landline phone so I would just call my classmates if we needed to finish something. I got my first phone at the age of 22. My father gave it to me. The brand was Mitshubishi. I know it may sound weird but that time it looked more sophisticated than the leading brand then-Nokia. No idea why Mitsubishi phones did not get as popular as Nokia phones did that time. At present, apple products and other brands are so well-known here. Back to the question, how old were you when you got your first phone?

I think I was in my early 20s when I got my first phone. I was able to call people and receive phonecalls, but that was it. It wasn't possible to write text messages. Unfortunately it didn't last long. Mypuppy took it and when he was done playing with it, it didn't look like a phone anymore
