My air-conditioner picks on me

Lately it is very hot and this is why we have to turn on the air-conditioner. However, it seems in these days that the air-conditioner in our bedroom has an error and it shows "e1". Meanwhile it doesn't create cool air. So I had to call for the service to fix it.
But when the maintenance staff came to my home, then the air-conditioner worked well. The room is cool shortly. Everything works well. I don't know what to say but just feel embarrassed.
Actually this is already the second time for me to call them. The first time it was the same. The air-conditioner worked well when the maintenance staff was here. But it was out of order after that. And we feel so hot at night and have to turn on the fan. So yesterday I couldn't stand it and I called the service.
Just now the maintenance staff came and the weird thing happened again. The air-conditioner worked well! I can't explain to it. Perhaps this air-conditioner just picks on me. I told the maintenance staff I will take a video to it when it doesn't work again
But if it works well when he comes, I don't know what to do because there is nothing for him to fix

@youless that happened to me with our car. When the mechanic is here it works fine but when I am alone it wouldn't start.

@youless Maybe it needs more freon ( basically ac gas) . Ours did that once and they had to put some more in. That would explain it working in short times.

I think it is the remote control problem. Try change the remote and batteries.

Hhh, you facing lot of issues due to AC, but service boy came your AC working well again. I think You AC having fear on seeing AC service boy my friend.
Ask him to check all parts of AC working fine or not, if possible go for another complete service of AC, then your issue get fix.
I also face like those experiences with my AC also.

E1 means error 1 where there maybe an issue with coil. It needs replacement

I checked and this error can mean bad connection, something wrong with the circuit board, dirty issue. I already cleaned the air-conditioner. Besides, actually my air-conditioner is new. It may be 1 or two years old. But these are not the problems, the problem is no "E1" problem when the maintenance staff was here and it works normally
