Another harvest of banana in the backyard

Just to brag of our banana harvest today from the backyard plant. This one was infested by insects earlier so the clusters are only 6 instead of the usual 8 to 10 clusters. But the fruits are good and no damages. We can give away at least 4 clusters and leave 2 for us.

If you are late to harvest, bats may come to eat the tipe banana at night without your permission

That is true that's why when one banana turns yellow it is the time to harvest.

@HannahKusKus yes, banana is common in tropical countries. I also gave so many saplings to the neighbors that there are many banana plants like mine.

That's nice bunch of bananas. Your dog seems to be interested too. Do your dog eat bananas. They do like ripe ones when smashed .

That 1 yellow banana is the indicator that the bananas are ready for harvesting. I wait for the yellow one before I cut it from the tree.

I think we call it "maryanas" here but we do not have that variety in our backyard. We have plenty of "saba" trees but no fruit yet since Super Typhoon Tisoy. (NOTE: I won't benefit from the reference link below)
No, I'm not going crazy but I would like to talk about BANANAS-- that luscious tropical fruit that many foreigners crave to savor. I like to cook and eat banana chips. Delicious but quite hard to prepare. You need to peel raw bananas and mind you, they
