This little guy was just a small baby and SOOOO adorable. and look at his little claws!

@minx267 Their claws are extremely sharp and well developed even when they are young. It is such a cutie.

They are both rodents.. but They are much much bigger than squirrels and do not have a bushy tail.

on the contrary, he was very shy and stayed in this position as I photographed him from my car. careful not to move... when he saw no signs of movement after a couple of minutes. he finally came out and started walking around and eating..

I'm not sure they would make great pets. they get fairly large. And can probably dig a large whole under any fence. they have strong claws. I do catch them grazing in the grass. I hear they eat up gardens pretty good too. So I'm sure feeding wouldn't be a problem.. but they are a VERY SHY creature- often they can see you at a long distance and they will RUN to their den/lair. hole in the ground.. and quick quickly at that.

well, this little guy lives in a cemetery. so no gardens. he can stay cute.
