I just finished watching The Last Dance on Netflix. I mentioned it in my earlier post and thought it was good. I binged watched the 10 episodes in less then 24 hours. Not only was the story and the clips so good but the memories it brought back we really good too. The show is mostly about Michael Jordan of course. His rise from high school ball through 1998 when the Bulls had won their 6th championship and the team broke apart. The thing that I think really got me about this show is it reminded me of things that happened in my life at the time. While the Bulls were having their greatest years I think I was having my greatest years. In 1991 I came home from serving 5 years in the Marine Corps. It was going to be a new start to life. I got home at the end of May and the Bulls were on their way to the Championship. I never watched basketball before and never hear of this guy Michael Jordan. I found a pretty good job right away, my divorce from my first wife was finalized in July, things were going good. In 1992 the Bulls win again and again in 93. In early 93, I first met what would become my second wife and my first two kids. Yep, never said it here before but my two oldest technically are my step kids. Steph born in 90 and Kyle born in 92. In 1995 We would get married and have our 3rd child. The Bulls were on a little bit of a down side but they came back and won in 96,97,and 98. Those were all good years for me and my family. So many good memories in those years. In 1995 I stopped drinking and that was a huge thing for me. Over all when I think back on my life I would say the 90's were by far the best years of my life. Maybe sometime I will tell you all more about it and get into more detail.
