Tonight is Friday date night for hubby and me, and I want to make it extra special. On the menu tonight will be appetizers. I will be serving Brie cheese, crackers, red grapes, and panko fried zucchini. They should go very well with my martini. Hubby will have water as usual. Our main course will be extra jumbo shrimp scampi with baby peas in linguine and a small green salad. I will have white wine. Hubby will have water. And for dessert, which we rarely have, will be my just made fig and honey galette. It came out so beautifully. I will warm it up while we enjoy our dinner. I’m going to wear a new dress that I brought home from Florida. No reason to save it for something. When this virus is over, I’ll be going on a huge shopping spree for sure!

I'm happy I could help! I usually make crostini with figs as an appetizer, but was able to get a load of ripe figs. This is my first ever fig galette, but I licked my finger and it tasted heavenly!!!! Gotta do something new every once in a while these days.

Omg I am salivating as I read this. And omg I am just realizing it is Friday again . I absolutely love fresh figs . . . this galette looks amazeballs (I just wish the rest of the family enjoyed figs - they won't eat any ).
