Cultural changes in my country. A new case of rape and death. / myLot

Good morning, friends. It is cold here so I am watching the news while I mylot in bed. A case of rape is being judged. A young woman was raped and later on she commited suicide. All this sounds normal.It has happened here before. But what has not happened before is the way the population has reacted to this. The authorities have also talked about changing the way children (boys and girls) are treated since their infancy. I hope this changes. I have seen genre relations change during my lifetime here as I have seen changes in racial problems in many places. But it is not enough. We have to change at a quicker pace in many ways if we want to leave a good place to live to our children. Now I´m off to my coffee. See you at my notifications.

The world has to change, women are not here to "be used" by men, this is something that kids must know since very young age.

@marguicha When we were young, our parents taught us to respect the others, to respect the nature, not to hurt the animals. I have the feeling that the young generations grow up selfish and with no rules, they respect nothing and no one.

I second Anna's response. it's good that the population is reacting if they haven't done so in this way before maybe that will help changes happen faster to help these children and young adults and women in your country and others like it.

I remember a case here where a girl said her ex raped her, she killer herself then a few days later he killer himself. They were both so young not long out of high school it was so sad for the families. That is good people are starting to change things there.
