Where there were times YOU did not listen to your PARENTS?

When I was in senior high school, my parents and siblings left me alone and they went to the province. They need to secure our family business because some of our evil relatives are doing suspicious things there, which is true. The only thing that I dd not listen to them at that time is to learn how to cook for myself. At that time, I was thinking who will teach me if they are not there to teach me. What a lame alibi. There is nothing serious about this matter. I was trained to be independent and able to survive without them at my side. In fact, I can cook basic foods. How about you, guys? Did you ever experience not listening to your parents? Image Credit: encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com

I didn't always listen to my parents during my teen-age years. I thought they were old-fashioned.

I think it is normal to be rebellious in teen years. I had experienced this, but not that serious.

Most of the times I listen to my parents and at times even regret that However I don't plan on changing my ways.

Our parents can guide us, but we are still the ones who will have the final decision in our lives.

@Shavkat You're right. At times we need to stand our ground too.

in college I was not honest with my parents for fear of being banned. When I was in college, I and a few friends climbed Mt. Marapi. When I ask permission from parents. I just said that there is camping. but I'm not saying that i was climbing the mountain and camping on it.

I am glad that you were safe for doing this activity. I had this experience but not to hike. It is just to stroll around my city. If I do this camping thing, my parents will freak out.

Most of us had this moment with our parents. The most important thing is we turned to a new leaf at present.

During my high school days, my younger sister and brothers were hard-headed. My biological parents were able to handle them well.
