Where there were times YOU did not listen to your PARENTS?

When I was in senior high school, my parents and siblings left me alone and they went to the province. They need to secure our family business because some of our evil relatives are doing suspicious things there, which is true.
The only thing that I dd not listen to them at that time is to learn how to cook for myself.
At that time, I was thinking who will teach me if they are not there to teach me. What a lame alibi.
There is nothing serious about this matter. I was trained to be independent and able to survive without them at my side. In fact, I can cook basic foods.
How about you, guys?
Did you ever experience not listening to your parents?

Most of the times I listen to my parents and at times even regret that
However I don't plan on changing my ways.

in college I was not honest with my parents for fear of being banned. When I was in college, I and a few friends climbed Mt. Marapi. When I ask permission from parents. I just said that there is camping. but I'm not saying that i was climbing the mountain and camping on it.
