Trying to buy a House instead of renting!

Daughter Donna has been in contact with a realtor to see if she qualifies for a mortgage to buy a house instead of renting. She said that the mortgage payment would be app. the same as what they are asking to rent a house down there, I told her it would be better to buy if she can. Why make someone else's mortgage payment if you just can make your own, fingers crossed everything works out in her favor. I do hate to move, so when I had bought my MH at the other park in 2007, I always thought I would live there the rest of my live. It didn't work out as the park was sold and we had to move out and leave our trailers behind. We could have taken them, but mine was way to old and nobody wanted to move it. My youngest daughter and her husband found a trailer to buy at the other park those people bought, so as I was waiting for places I applied at to call me, I moved in with them. It was ok for a few months, but it isn't working anymore. So when Donna asked if I wanted to move with them to Georgia I agreed. I love living in the south, because the weather is so much warmer there, that's another reason I am moving with them. I guess I got spoiled living in Florida for 27 years before moving up here, I do hope that I am moving for the last time. Have a happy Hump Day. Image is from Pixabay

@gr8nana6 Happy hump day to you too. It's been pouring down rain here most of the day, so nothing going on here to be too thrilled about, other than the week is half over! haha

Buying is always better than renting, and I hope your daughter gets approved for a mortgage. Living in the south sure beats living in the cold north. Keep me posted!!!!

I am definitely going to be happier in the warmer climate, I hated the snow and cold from the first winter here in 2006. I am surprised I lasted this long here. Thank you for stopping by and reading my content. Have a happy humpday.

I hope that your daughter Donna can be given a mortgage. It is amazing you used to live in Florida for 27 years. No wonder you dream of living somewhere warmer. It must be amazing to live in a trailer. They are modern and comfortable. It is bothersome to move isn't it. I moved to my bungalow in 2010 and I feel totally happy living here.

I have a friend who lived near you in Cincy, and he moved to Myrtle Beach. Even with all the hurricanes that have hit since he moved there (I told him it was his fault ) he says he doesn’t miss the Ohio Valley weather in the least. Heck, I may have to join him down there!

Fingers crossed Donna can buy a house rather than renting. You're right that it would be better to pay your own mortgage than someone elses. Good luck to you all on the move

Me too, they own their house up here which is my son in laws childhood home, and is very old but since the fire next door a little while back they can't get too much for it. It would be nice if they could own again. Thank you for stopping by and reading my content. Have a happy humpday.

No they didn't even offer anything, but it was so old anyway. I only paid $800.00 dollars for it when I bought it in 2007, so it wasn't a big loss.Thank you for visiting have a great thursday!

I had experienced this, when I was comfortable living in a rented house and wanted to stay longer but it turned out that the house would be sold by the owner. how unpleasant things. since then I was determined to have my own home despite the hard struggle with collecting pennies by pennies

Yes if you rent you always run the risk of your home being sold from under you. It is definitely best to own Thank you for visiting
