This is the fourth summer we have been here.
I have seen this lily plant, but it never bloomed. Something always broke it off or something happened to it.
Both of my grandmothers raised these tiger lilies. I was always confused, because tigers have stripes, not spots.
I will be good to the plant and see if it multiplies. I have day lilies, just like @myklj999 and a Stella d'Oro, which is another hybrid type of day lily. Bright yellow and smaller. I have one Asiatic lily. (don't tell Trump, he will say it caused the virus!)
So this tiger lily had two blooms. I love it.
It brings back memories.

This house used to be a duplex. Evidently one of the owners lived on the east end. Various plants show up from bulbs that I did not plant, including this lily.

I have daysWhen it seems like the pages won't load but I figured it was my phone rather than mylot itself.
I have flowers that surprise me all the time. I planted a calla lilly this summer and it looks like I have a new plant coming into a different location. I won't know for sure until the flower show up. The leaves look just like it to me.

Recently it looked like my tiger Lily was changing colors a bit and then I realized another plane was growing right next to the first. I'm sure it's spreading and maybe the flower is more vibrant because of some reason like it's cooler or we've had more rain or something.

Your photo is gorgeous, I love it! I have a couple more lilies, but I'm not sure what kind they are.

That's a beautiful tiger lily! I'm glad you got two blooms out of it. Just stinks that you had to wait 4 years to see it.

Yes, I knew it was there, but it has struggled. I also have tulips and daffodils here that I did not plant.
