Part of my lunch just rolled away

I smeared some peanut butter on a tortilla, grabbed some blueberries for a natural jam and sat down to lunch. I just bit into the tortilla and yup, a blueberry jumped ship and headed off down the middle of the living room rug. Leah pup raised her head up and looked but didn't go after the runaway. Guess the hens will have a merry fight over it when I give their evening snack. I won't go out until at least 6 tonight cause its another day of triple digit weather.

I'm never sure which weather channel has the correct measure, one says it's 101f another says its 97f .... no matter, it's simply hot out yonder.

I know, it's been going on here for a while now but it does help dry the clothes so I ain't complainin too much @sallypup I have to water a whole lot more when it's windy and hot.

@rebelann Exactly. The wind sucks the life right out of plants.

@AmbiePam My largest cat just started to bat the blueberry around. Leah dog couldn't stand the play so she grabbed it and took it into the bedroom. I bet its still there, waiting for someone to step on it when they're half awake.

The good thing is someone will get to have a blueberry treat. I've lost runaways where I can't find them at all . . . only to discover them under who-knows-where at who-knows-when and they've become a nasty. dry. dusty raisin .

@sallypup Last week got pretty hot, in the mid-upper 90s. Now, it has cooled down again, this morning it was about 68 degrees.

@piyushbhatia1 Some pups like fruit and some don't. It depends on the dog.
