I just came upon this song" End Of The World"
by Skeeter Davis.
I remember thinking that way at a certain time in my life
when a certain romance ended abruptly.
At that time, I could not understand why it was sunny, why
people could laugh. I was very sad all the time.
Fortunately, a few years later, I met the man who became
my husband.
And now, I am so happy that this romance ended, otherwise
I would have never met my wonderful husband. It was meant to be.

As a die-hard country music fan, I have to say I Hope most people never live the lyrics of a country song. Sadly, some do.
Love the song. Thankful I’ve never endured the pain in the lyrics.

Hi Marlina !
How could have I missed your post ? :-(
Alfredo told me that you posted today and so I looked for it and here I am ! :-)
I'm happy to know that you are happy now and will continue to be so :-)
I listened to the song, somehow depressing (is that how 1 should feel when listening to this song?). I finished the song though.

@marlina That's one thing that avoid. remembering something that will make me sad because of a song. At times it makes me cringe even.
But like I said, I am happy you are happy now and will continue to be :-)

I think we all go through that at least once. A break up that hurts so much that we are angry at the world for going on and being happy without us.

@marlina Truly, but at the same time, if they can find love again after that, then they are braver and stronger than most.

The world doesn't end to those who are living in the essence of true love.

This song got me all confused was expecting a male with the name of skeeter and then I go I have heard this one. Its a cool song and would make a great song for the game soundtrack of fallout. I wonder if they did use it in one their games because I did not play all of them. I love the sound racks of Fallout.

I loved that song when I was young. I think we feel things so intensely when we are young and first love often ends painfully. But it is followed by forever love which is a very good thing.
