50-Year-Old Songs: Celebrate

"And just like that....1970 was 50 years ago." Yeah, I know. Most of us who were around then have the aches and pains to make that a reality. All of us -- even those who weren't born in 1970 (or maybe even their parents weren't!) -- have the music from that year, and it's still popular in many regards. Here's today's example. Celebrate - Three Dog Night How popular is this song? In the 2010s an arthritis medication called Celebrex used it in their commercials! This song is as timeless as they come. The last two minutes of the song is nothing but "Celebrate, celebrate, dance to the music." And who can't go along with that? (Okay, those weirdos in Footloose. ) A true "celebration" of the joy of music, this is one of Three Dog Night's enduring classics.
