I have seen so many people on youtube , making pizza base at home itself. I am also trying to make a pizza base at home along with arranging the rest of the ingredients of the pizza, which I am going to make at home today. The ingredients that we need for such recipes like pizza base are, flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt , oil, and some water according to the research that I have done. Has anyone of you made pizza base at home? Please do share your experience with me. I am planning to make pizza base today in the evening

@LadyDuck & @Swayamsiddha I happened to be watching this video last night. They may do things differently in Naples from the way you do in Tuscany but this guy has won prizes (they claim). He seems to give the dough only one rise but he is very picky about his flour type and temperatures.
Neapolitan pizza dough is the most recognized in the world, but many get it wrong, so I’ve enlisted world champion pizza maker, Johnny Di Francesco to teach ...

@Swayamsiddha You have to prepare the dough in advance and let it rest twice before topping and putting in the oven.

I sometimes make pizza at home though usually I buy them ready made. Pizza base should always be made with yeast - never with baking powder, which gives a very different texture and flavour. It is made just like a yeast flatbread with a rather slacker dough than for a bread loaf. The dough must be kneaded for 10 minutes to develop the gluten and then allowed to rise for at least half an hour (usually an hour or more, depending on the temperature) and then knocked back and stretched, rather than rolled, into shape. It should be baked in a very hot oven, preferably on a pre-heated stone, which will cook the base of the pizza fast so that it is crisp, not soggy.
