Celebrating my birthday under quarantine

You have a lovely place to spend with your family. My place is a small condo unit with no outdoor so we spent it only indoors.

@DianneN I've just realized that the past years we have had simple celebration with family only. The only difference is that we never celebrated it outside anymore and stayed indoors only.

@rsa101 Thank you! If we were in Florida, I would have had to celebrate alone in my condo for the same reasons as you. I hope you still enjoyed your birthday despite the setting.

Not that much just a simple celebration with family only no fancy eating out to the restaurant anymore. On the other hand it is cheaper and more intimate with family.

No need it would just remind me of my age.

I always like a simple and quiet celebrations anyway and I did achieve both of it. Simple and quiet celebration with people I love.

lt’s not a feast just a simple one that could fill the tummy. Grateful l am for being able to reach this age. Soon l might join the ranks of the seniors.

@rsa101 On my birthday, I fried bangus a la pobre and ate alone. Didn't even bother with the atchara because I wanted to savor the bangus a la pobre taste. In prayer, I offered the simple feast for the hungry and the cold, the homeless and the dying. When my daughter came a few days after, I woke up to Black Forest cake and a bilao of sotanghon pancit. Gosh, I wish I could have shared the feast with others. No matter the food on the table, still a feast from our Lord.

@eileenleyva Nice you got a surprise from your daughter days after. Well mine it was just like any other day meals not that special. l am just happy yo be with my wife and son as always.

Yes it is a different feeling that you are restricted from going somewhere to celebrate.

@Hannihar Actually i’m not that grand in celebrating my birthday but we usually eat out as family. But now we are confined in the house and made a simple and silent one.

@rsa101 Yes, it is very hard during the corona to celebrate birthdays if you are used to going out having a nice party.

That is true no need for fancy celebrations anymore but have a meaningful one for your love ones is enough.
