What time they are not driving you nuts, I forgot how funny kids can be

Grandsons 26 yrs old but still funny too sometimes with his 3 and 5 yrs. old. Yesterday, his 3 yr old was saying he wanted to go outside. and grandson said to him, "Son, its like a grizillion degrees out there! NO! you can't be serious " I don't know why but that total cracked me up. One day last week I guess they stayed out a little to long and that same 3 yr old showed me his ears and said "I got sunshine on my ears" It took me a minute to realize he meant sun burn. A few minutes ago, the 5 yr old girl showed me a barbie doll shoe and said she had dropped it in the toilet and had to get it back out with her hands. She was handing it to me and I said " no thanks you keep it to yourself" Should I tell her mother ? Who should have been watching her.

Why are they living with you? You guys just barely manage as it is? I know you are a loving person but I think they take advantage of your good heart

heart not so good. It was my daughters idea. Said they had no place to go and they would move out soon. Only good thing about it is Clay stays mostly at his grand fathers now and some one is always here to help me if the power goes off or I need something. I just wish I was brave enough to try a senior home but can;t talk myself into it Plus not sure I have enough to get in to a decent one. But I am okay don't worry sweetie. If this weather would just chill out here

I really think you need to try senior assisted living. Valarie is in rent control housing and it is fine, the house you are in is not safe, how could it be worse? @bunnybon7 here most senior housing is quite nice. I obviously can’t speak for Florida but there seems to be plenty of choices

@bunnybon7 I worry about you too, Bonnie. It seems an awful situation for you to be in.

I did and you don't have to worry much with that one I am afraid she is driving our water bill even higher Spends most of her time in the bathroom washing things. I can't recall any other kid I ever knew so preoccupied with water

@Courtlynn of course but back in the day we considered water quite precious and costly and we saved on it when we could. I understand being clean but money is tight and there are toys to play with that wouldn't require water constantly. Especially since already there are 6 adults and 2 small children trying to keep clean in the house

Bonnie this does not seem a good situation for you. Are you sure you would not be better in a senior home?

@bunnybon7 Some are not good, but many are very good and you would surely be better there.

I can understand how grandkids can drive you nuts and then turn around and make you laugh. They can be so funny and precious. Did you ever find anything out about applying online for emergency food stamps?

Of course, I'd ask her, "Did you wash your hands?" Maybe she just wanted company while going potty.

Kids sure are funny. You have enough on your plate without having to watch a 3 and 5-year-old! Try and have a good week.
