Need I say anything to elaborate the benefits of moringa leaves? In the region where a large part of population suffers from anaemia, this is the natural and the cheapest supplement prescribed. Any form of moringa leaves preparation can refurbish blood deficiency in a few days. In the tea estate quarters it is usually light fried with a little mustard oil with some pieces of garlic. A missionary priest friend taught me how a moringa soup can be prepared. I found that this even controls high blood pressure. I am sure there are other health benefits as well. Some companies are selling dry moringa leaves in packages and making money. As for me, I need not buy them. Here is one of my moringa tree with fresh leaves. I have more such trees in my backyard. I have already had some curry dishes of it. From tomorrow, I am going to drink a cup of soup of these magic leaves.

I lightly fry the leaves in a little oil, add some spices (onion, chilli, ginger ), pour water and boil. In fact, you can use the soup making recipe of your own

@hereandthere Yes I did hear about it. Among the aborigine tea estate workers in the north this tree is called "munga" and it is a regular remedy.

We have them here but last week we had them cut because they were too high to reach. I have turned a few leaves into powder.

By making powder, they can be preserved and used anytime. Among the tribal people of India dry powder is boiled in rice strain (extracted liquid from boiled rice). This method is used with other leaves powder as well.
