There are so many ways to come for a final decision. I personally think before making a decision. I do not usually follow my heart. As an adult, we need to think twice or more before doing it. It is a way of being a level-headed person.
Which do you follow when making decisions?
What do you think or what you feel?

I'm very undecisive, so I usually discuss things with my wife

If anything, I tend to overthink decisions. But these days we don't necessarily have the time to take too long to think. So I try to strategize the best course of action (in which feelings are taken account for too) and go with it.

why not both? Wait for a moment before making a decision, process it with thought and decide with heart

I read once that, if it's hard to make up your mind, make a decision one way or the other. If you feel disappointed, then you might have made the wrong decision.

@Shavkat I try to use both my mind and my heart before taking a tough decision.I think if I'm able to implement the decision successfully. It takes time to take a final decision.

It depends on the situation. There are circumstances where you need to use your mind and be calculative and those where you need to put your heart first even if won't benefit you tangibly.
