I am still in village now. I just saw my cousin's duck farm. The ducks are fed every morning and evening. The main menu is mixed of rice and bran. For snacking time, they have sliced fish. Every morning my cousin picks the eggs in the cage. From 100 ducks, 70-80 ducks lay eggs daily.

Wow, that's a lot of ducks he's got there. Does he sell the eggs or they are for hatching?

Duck eggs are not commercially available in India for consumption . Hen eggs are found everywhere and broiler egg farms found in every village.

In my childhood I saw a heard of ducks escorted by a person from far away state. They were released in to the fields filled with water and they used to hunt and eat small fishes in the water.

@nawala123 We have huge poultry farms here too but mostly with chickens. I'm sure there must be duck farms too.
