Since I am now officially a retiree, I intend to get my Senior Citizen card tomorrow at a government agency situated at the city proper. My son will accompany me.
Good thing I was able to get a copy of my birth certificate from the National Statistics Office, a certificate from the Barangay office where I am presently residing, have 8 copies of 1x1 ID pictures, xeroxed copies of 2 of my valid ID's, so I will be ready with what the customer service employee will ask me tomorrow. My sister said it takes only an hour to process my papers.
If this is done at once, I can now buy my maintenance medications and other groceries, including the laboratory examination which I will have on Thursday, at discounted price.
I sure will enjoy being a senior citizen now.

I have been officially retired for six years, but won't officially be a senior citizen for another year. Circumstances made it fortuitous to retire early (looking after elderly parents), but being retired does not make me a drain on society. I'm busier than I ever was and volunteer in our community to make it a better place to live.

yes, thank you.
you might ask what was the very first establishment that i used my CS card to?
it was a local food chain that delivers take-out meals, the Jolly Bee. i was excited to use my card.

My mother got her SC card months before she celebrated her 60th but she was advised not to use it yet.
It is a big help to have discounts especially when buying maintenance medicines.

thank you. i am relaxing at home, and avoid going out now since there are more covid cases in our city and several barangays are in total lockdown.
