A few mylotters are aware that I have embarked myself in the wildest dream of moving out of my own country to pursue dreams in other horizons. It is no secret that during this confiment we have all been away from our families, friends and loved ones in general. The title of my post is because I talked over WhatsApp phone call with my parents and my sister who are still living in Venezuela where I was born and raised. I really missed talking with them. Now I can say I have recharged my energies just to know that they are healthy and safe despite of still struggling with my country's current economical and social situation.
If your parents are still alive, love them to the fullest no matter what.
Thank you for reading.

I'm glad your sister and parents are healthy and remaining safe in Venezuela. You are a good son and brother.
My parents are long gone, but I use FaceTime to talk with my family frequently. I agree with you. We should love our loved ones to the fullest no matter what!

@jvicentevalera Thank you! I'm so happy you also have a wonderful relationship with your parents and sister. So many people do not have that wonderful kind of relationship, and it's such a shame.

Oh Dianne, let just say that judging by the lady and loving person that you are I can tell you had amazing parents. May they rest in peace and I am sure they are watching over you from heaven! I really needed to hear them, once I hung up it felt like I was powerful and ready to keep on going!

@LadyDuck I am Anna. First year as an immigrant is always tough, even more due to the current events with Covid-19. Regarding your question, ever since I got here the authorities have made the right decisions, we've been confined since March. It has been working out, it is progressively it is not an effect that one sees at once. Some areas in the city have been disconfined, while there are others that are still in lockdown. What about there?

It was so reassuring Judy! In fact I was worried cause my dad was struggling with a flu he got, I thought it was covid so I was stressed out, in Venezuela there are so many problems and medicine shortage is one of them. Fortunately it wasn't covid and my dad is doing way better now!

I am very happy to know that your parents are near you. That is the most exciting experience in life! I hope your parents are having good health, and calm I suppose you meant that your sister passed away, didn't you? If so I am very sorry for your loss, may she rest in peace!

Where are you moving to? It's good that you check in with them as I'm sure they are concerned about your welfare too.
