Off to School

Another block completed for my Quilter's Trek, True Blue, Take Two.
This block was mailed to me from Ontario. It shows the Amish heritage of the community.
The children are heading to school.
The pieced stars on this block were my biggest challenge. It's a block I will need to practice.
That has been my goal with making these blocks....learn new skills and expand my knowledge.

Thank you. I'm working hard on this quilt. By the time it's complete I hope to have between 45 and 50 blocks/rows.

The stars look very nice and I am sure they must be the hardest part. You have done a great work. What did you use for it? Fabric paint??

Just fabric. The stars are pieced. The background of the school and children is also pieced.
The silhouette is appliqued.
