I Decided To Re-open My Online Store

I decided to re-open my online store. During this pandemic, I was looking at all the online shops that sell all sorts of stuff and this made me want to go back to online selling. Anyway, last week I went ahead and had a soft launch for my online store. It was previously named Allen's Trip Shop. Now, I've rebranded it as Trip Shop Nine. It is a play on the words 'thrift' and 'trip'. I'll been selling mostly jerseys and sports related items. I'll be branching out and carrying music related items as well plus some oddities and if my budget allows it, antiques , as well.
Anyway, I'll mainly sell on Instagram. I've read a lot of reviews on good online stores and one common denominator is the presence of having IG accounts.I won't be selling in actual online selling platforms. Not my cup of tea at least no tyet.
For other myLotters involved in online selling, what tips can you share to ensure a successful online store venture? What are the challenges that you encountered and how did you resolve those? I'm sure that there is a wealth of experience among myLotters who have online shops so please feel free to share.
With this pandemic, people are getting involved in all sorts of things just to make some extra cash.

I sell online but I use Facebook Marketplace for that. There are more people around there now.

Cool - I wish the best of luck to you on your online re-venture! I don't sell, but I have a friend who does - and honestly I can see why she doesn't do well

*Presentation. Your site should look appealing - and same with product photos. My friend is cheap and tries to save money by doing things herself, but it shows 
. . . even if you do things yourself, it should still look as professional as possible.
*Wording. Be firm, but friendly. My friend has wording like no returns or that you need permission from her first or that she will charge you for whatever "if" - it just sounds scary that she scares off people before they even buy.
*Marketing. Get your name out there wherever you can. Network. People don't magically come to your site.
*Be cool. Be fair. Be the best damn online store evah

Well, I am doing print on demand with several companies and what's most important is a fast and good customer service to make people want to order again. Plus (of course) good quality products and reasonable prices. And don't limit yourself to IG, use Twitter, Pinterest and Facebook, too.
