August 25 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today turned out to be a very good day.
I'm thankful I had my laptop with me at my son's so I could interact with you until it was time to leave for my eye appointment.
I'm thankful I spent time with my son today.
I'm thankful I got my laundry done today. It wasn't a large load because I was there on Friday.
I'm thankful for the eye exam. I only need one pair of glasses, bifocals. The doctor said I have almost 20/20 vision with cataract surgery. The astigmatism is what keeps it from being 20/20 and why I still need bifocals. I don't need glasses to work on the computer. 
I'm thankful I have all my fitness goals met. It was a tough one to accomplish today, but I had a wonderful walk this morning at my son's, and I have all my hourly steps.
I'm thankful I wasn't too hungry when I got home. I had breakfast at 4 PM.
I'm thankful I'm returning to the pool tomorrow. My son will be picking me up at 4:30 tomorrow morning.
I'm thankful I have my glasses ordered through Zenni. Medicare would only pay a small part of the glasses. With what I saw the frames cost, I'm sure I saved a lot over their price. My new glasses cost under $80. I'll have them in 2-3 weeks.
I'm thankful I remembered to join the church prayer meeting on Zoom tonight. It was an awesome time of prayer.
That was my day. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. It's time for me to head to bed so I can be up early for the pool. I'll be back tomorrow to hopefully catch up with all my notifications. I'll also have the health report for yesterday and today. The image belongs to me.

Sounds like a great day, which is always good to hear. And that's great about the appointment, and that you will only need those glasses.

@just4him I understand, it is not a fast thing even though it should be quicker since they are an essential thing. Hopefully they come closer to the 2 week mark though at least

I had heard that Zoom has had some major outages across the country this week, so I'm thankful that you were even able to get on a Zoom meeting with your church group!

@just4him Yeah, it was a big deal and all over the news, saying it couldn't have come at a worse time, since all the kids were going back to school and Zoom was one of the platforms that many teachers and professors use to communicate with the students.
