Dragonflies are very common in our area but these days I don't see them much because area I am staying in does not have much vegetation.

I have many dragonflies in the garden, just because we have a pond.

@nawala123 Until they do not develop their wings, they live inside the water.

@nawala123 When I was a kid, we found one in the toilet at school and were afraid they'd sew us up. We used to call them sewing needles.

Dragon fly must be feeling thirsty due to hot weather. They usually feed on insects including mosquitoes. They are actually friends of humans and help in controlling mosquito menace .

@nawala123 the dragonfly larvae eat the mosquito larvae and other waterborne insects and make the water free from insects and germs.
