A Dozen Balls Of Cotton Yarn Will Be Put To Good Use

Yesterday, I opened up a storage tote that I knew that had yarn in it. I just couldn't remember what kind though. Well, there were a dozen balls (maybe a few more than that...I didn't count them) of cotton yarn in there and I put them into a bag. I will be using that yarn to crochet wash cloths with. My intention is to make as many wash cloths as I can so that I can get that yarn used up. In either September or October, I hope to purchase travel-sized soaps, shampoos, toothpaste, and toothbrushes to go with the wash cloths and donate those items to a place that distributes bags of hygiene items to the homeless. Over the past 3 days, I have made almost 15 wash cloths. So, this yarn that I knew that I wouldn't be making anything for myself with will be put to good use for others.

That's a wonderful use of surplus yarn. I was given a heap of baby wool and made a heap of beanies for premature babies. The bags of goodies are a great idea and very generous of you.
