My Advise

When I feel down and hopeless I can't help to give myself a time to process what I am feeling at that exact moment. As a human being I allow myself to sense all the feelings inside me. I confess that I have held my feelings before, and you all know that's not right, because it does not only make me feel worse, but in long term It can make me suffer from illnesses I do not dare to bring up now. So guys when I feel down and sad either due to homesickness (because I don't live in my country as many of you know) or because I feel like getting stuck I sort of slam myself (metaphorically) and tell myself that it is enough of sadness for the day and that I have goals to meet, that I have dreams to make happen, that I have a mission in this life and that neither depression nor anything else will stop me from achieving and getting what's mine. So guys when you feel sad, try to shake that off and get up from bed, open the window, play Lady Gaga, Madonna, R&B (music), techno or whatever that relieves the sad feeling and last but not least the Lord above who's always our most powerful guide in the darkness. Do not let sadness bring you down, you are STRONGER.

You are right and this is a great advice. Being sad and doing nothing to shake it off brings to depression.

It is a very good attitude to have. The best thing in life is really just being alive to both enjoy it and suffer through some of the rougher parts of it.

I think you gave yourself the best advice when you suggested giving it to the Lord.

Sometimes I have become my best advisor because most times I don't have people nearby to get me out of my negativity and sadness! Maybe it is God's voice telling me to stay strong!
