Bowl Full of Ice Cream Memories

Just came inside from being out in this hot muggy weather. Decided on a bowl of ice cream and chocolate syrup. I rarely eat this, but had some Breyer's vanilla bean in the freezer and thought why not. Two scoops will be just right.
This bowl is one I had from my childhood. I wish I had the entire set but just this one bowl. Amazing how it has lasted over the years and still has the handle unbroken.
I remember all of us making homemade ice cream. Such fun we all had when our friend sand family gathered around the table and stayed for dessert.
When you move many times you lose a lot of delicate items sometimes. I am proud to still have this one. Instead of eating grits like I used to do in this bowl, today it will be ice cream.
Sometimes you have to treat yourself, right!

Yes, sometimes you just have to treat yourself.
I like the handle on that little bowl.
I have my first glass glass here.
It has a nursery rhyme on it, I keep it tucked into a back corner of the china cabinet because I do not want to have it accidentally broken.
