Smelling the Flowers

To me, part of a vacation is the travel, not just the destination. I spent so much time hurrying to get places when I was younger. Now I’m not doing that.
The attached photo is part of smelling the flowers. This was the sunset in Sikeston, Missouri yesterday evening. @Rebeccasfarm wanted to see “my sunset” after she showed us “her sunset.” 
(All sunsets are beautiful, no competition necessary!!)
There wasn’t much “sightseeing” today, and yet there was plenty of it. The drive through the Ozarks on US 60 is gorgeous. I stopped at a riverside park to take a nap, and afterwards I enjoyed watching families playing in the water.
Not much to report, but it was a most enjoyable day!!!

Oh, you’re welcome. I sent pictures to everyone. It was so beautiful that all I could do was admire it and thank God.

My intention is to go to the OKC Bombing Memorial and the Dalton Brothers Museum in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Lots of informational signs between here and there, though.

That is a lovely sunset. I have never heard of this song before so I will check Jerry Redd out on YouTube. It is a good intro to my flower song series though. My today's flower will be a buttercup.
