My Granddaughter Fixed My Hair

Hi!
I went across town to visit my daughter and her two girls last week. My granddaughters are ages 7 and 4.
It was a beautiful day so we were talking on the front porch steps. The seven year old came outside with a hairbrush and several colorful hair bands. She said "Pleeeease let me fix your hair before you leave!"
The photo is only one result of our short-notice beautyshop day. 
The four year old did her mommy's hair.
Best of all, the salon services were free!

I realized that the phrase "fixing" hair is slang here in the US and sounds odd to many people.
