I Spy with my Little Eye

In December, I got cataract surgery on one eye. It has healed and done well. Lately, something peculiar has happened. I dream a lot and remember some of them. They are a little blurry but I know what is going on. I started seeing sharp images in the cataract corrected eye. They are much sharper and clearer than ever. I remember once, I saw a warplane. Then I was inside the cockpit and it was pitching all around. I have seen star charts, dinosaurs, and all sorts of things. The funny thing is that I only see them in this one eye and not the other. I was wondering if any of you experienced things like that after cataract surgery. I know many would love to hear about it. Do you eye doctors out there know anything about this?

@LadyDuck We can't get the surgery until we can hardly see anything. I really needed the help.

I hope you never need it but it was not that bad of an experience. It is just weird seeing these things with only the affected eye.

It is still happening but not as often. Maybe it is a temporary thing.

@CarolDM Thanks. Me too. Sometimes, I feel like I am in one spot and everything is rushing past me, faster and faster. I can't make it stop. Not a good feeling at all.

Isn't that strange? It's probably something to do with the nerves.

It is strange but I don't know if there are nerves in the eye. But it could be nerves because of life and troubles I guess.

@JudyEv You are right. I did not think of that.

@akalinus There would be nerves in the eye that activate the muscles when you blink, etc.

No, I have not experienced that. I think you have to see your doctor.

Hi, I answered this post a day or two ago and the answer is gone. I'm not sure what is going on with myLot. I did see the doctor for a followup visit a couple of weeks ago and she said all was well. She did not give me a chance to ask about this.

@thelme55 It was gone at the time. I don't understand half of what happens on the internet.
